kenya's second longest river, Athi River has several of sources. This is the the one farthest from Ngong Hills (where the rest of the other sources are located). It is traditionally known as the source of the Mbagathi river which joins Ololua river to form the Embakasi River which farther downstream becomes Athi River as it enters the savanna plateau on its was to the Indian Ocean.
