Lycksele Zoo is the northernmost zoo in Sweden and specialises in animals native to the Nordic World. It was founded in 1959 on a small scale and has since developed into the most popular visitor attraction in Northern Sweden. This is the place to come to see wolves, bears, elk, reindeer, deer, lynx and all manner of other exciting animals found in the Arctic region. There is a special children’s zoo, replete with popular farmyard animals. There is also a children’s play area with a range of fairground style attractions.
