water, river mouth
Rare "crossroads" of two canals - the Stroudwater (under restoration) and the Gloucester and Sharpness. The section of the Stroudwater between the junction and the River Severn is now disused. Site of the annual Saul Festival, a fundraising event for the restoration of the Cotswold Canals that used to form the link between the Rivers Severn and Thames.
