A Rikuu East Line station. Local trains and an all-reserved express (2 a day).

The station has two platforms, connected with a bridge, and two tracks. In the station, there are a waiting-room shaped like an amphitheater, a good tourist information center (English spoken and English pamphlets available), a mini-shop and a foot bath with onsen water near the station entrance; bus station and taxi stop are immediately outside.

In the tourist information office, geta are available for rent. Also, you can buy a "Yumeguri tiketto"(湯めぐりチケット) - a combined ticket to a number of onsens (in hotels), which can help to save money, too.
