This is one cool (but VERY STRENUOUS and UNFORGIVING) hike. And yes, there is a mailbox at the top of the peak (though that's not the reason why it was named 'Mailbox Peak', but rather a play of the name). Long, never ending straight up hills. Elev. 4926'.
A fire training academy is located just a couple miles east of here.
