The airport was the staging area for SHOT BADGER, a test of the UPSHOT-KNOTHOLE Series on April 18, 1953.

  • My understanding is that this is the facility where the B2 "Spirit" Stealth Bomber was initially researched and developed. Can anyone confirm.
  • Not here. This was a logistical air strip for flying in supplies for nuclear tests.
