First rated 1797. Large house showing Adam influences, probably by same hand as
Mendip and Welshmill House, Welshmill Road. Built for local worthy, George
Sheppard. Symmetrical ashlar front. Hipped slate roof, blocking course, moulded
cornice, rusticated plinth, band at 1st floor level and moulded cill band to all
1st floor windows. Carved string over 1st floor windows. Recessed and rounded
corners. 2 storeys, 5 windows, glazing bar sashes in reveals.
