Bear Creek Wind Power Project is located along a ridge just off the north border of the Bear Creek Camp Conservation Area and about 7 miles straight east of downtown Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. Commissioned in 2006, it consists of 12 Gamesa G87/2000 wind turbines with a combined nominal capacity of 24 MW.

The Bear Creek Wind Power Project was developed by Community Energy Inc., which acquired the project from early stage developer Global Winds Harvest. The Project is a 24 MW wind energy facility located in the Pocono Mountain region of Pennsylvania less than 10 miles southeast of Wilkes-Barre by the town of Bear Creek. The Project is expected to produce approximately up to 70 million kilowatt-hours of wind energy annually after startup in late 2005.
