  • by 2015 this site will be converted to a Business District by Ayala Land, Inc. and Evergreen Holdings Inc. (two of the country's most reputable names in real estate development) together with the Bases Conversion Development Authority (BCDA) the partnership will ensure the development and financial stability to sustain a successful business district..
  • The greatest failure of the PMA is in training and producing truly patriotic professional soldiers which I thought was what it was chartered to do. Instead, it came up with corrupt generals and institutions that empowers corrupt administrations. The AFP is supposed to be the bastion of the Philippine democracy - depender of the constitution and its democratic institutions. May be converting this place to a business district will serve the Filipino People a better purpose.
  • There are a lot of good guys here. Sure there are rotten apples, but that is not representative of everyone. As soldiers of war, they defend our democracy from insurgents. That's kinda obvious. As civic volunteers, they help the poorer people through medical-dental-pharmacy-vet--- missions. The engineers help build housing. Of course, there is always the possibility of the abuse of such powers, but overall I think they are doing a good job compared to the rest of the government. The military tries to be as apolitical as possible. PMA graduates are officers. The majority of the Armed Forces are Enlisted Personnel who are low waged worker grunts, from Privates to Sergeants. Back in the old days, some spent 2 years as 3rd class recruits before even becoming Privates. Many did not make it alive to be promoted to Private. I think the Camp will stay for a long time. Where will we relocate the GHQ if this becomes a business area?
