  Easily walkable, the city provides a number of scenic views - from the lake shore, from the cathedral, and from the hilltop (where one can get by a funiculare). I would like to suggest starting from the railway station, along the road to the said funiculare, then through a mase of old streets past nice fountains to the Cathedral; and from there, to the marina and further to a n underground cable-car which eill take you back to the railway station. Note: on Sundays almost everything's closed!
