The Special Tribunal for Lebanon (STL) is an international tribunal for the prosecution under Lebanese law [1] of those responsible for the assassination of Rafic Hariri on February 14, 2005. The tribunal also has jurisdiction over a series of other attacks in Lebanon (between 1 October 2004 and 12 December 2005) if they are proven to be connected with the Hariri assassination.[1] The court is based in Leidschendam, near The Hague, in the Netherlands and it has a field office in the Lebanese capital Beirut.

  • This was the offices of the AIVD, but they moved in the end of 2007 to Zoetemeer. Right now the building is vacant, but the Lebanese tribunal will be held there from 2009 - 2013
