Built between 1892 and 1902, the "Monument aux Girondins et à la République" is a 43 meters high column, with various statues at its base : Triumph of the Concord, Fraternity, Abundance and Happiness, Work, Security and Strength of the Republic while the Lies, Vice and Ignorance are thrown to earth. There are added marine horses with water jets.
