Garibaldi is a town located in the northeastern hills of the Rio Grande do Sul State, in southern Brazil. It has a population of roughly 30.000. Located at 650m above sea level, it has a subtropical-temperate climate, with hot, dry summers and chilly winters, with occasional frosts and light snowfalls. Its economy is mostly based on wine production, along with agriculture and metalurgy, and it's also in the core of a touristic area.

Garibaldi is named after Giuseppe Garibaldi, an italian revolutionary who fought in the War of Tatters in southern Brazil, back in the 19th century.
