Before the airport expanded...this was my elementary school in the sixties. I loved this place. The planes would shake the windows as they went over.

  • In 1960 I was a kindergartener at Morrningside when John F Kennedy rode in a limousine in a motorcade that drove by slowly as all the children sat at the roadside to watch him pass. Suddenly a kindergartener ran up to his limo and John Kennedy reached out his hand to the little boy and shook his hand. I was that proud little boy. Thanks Morningside for the memories.
