Pulp production at Karlsborg dates back to the start of the 20th century. Today Billerud Karlsborg is one of the largest businesses in the region (Norrbotten). The mill comprises a pulp line, a paper machine, a coating machine and a drying machine for market pulp. Karlsborg is one of Europe’s leading suppliers of white sack paper.
