  • Makosa Secndary School, under the progressive leadership of Headmaster Mr Nyerenyere in the late 1980's, took up the offer of supply of qualified teachers from the UK from the Non-Governmental Organisation and UK charity Voluntary Services Overseas ("VSO"). VSO supplied a maths teacher from 1989 - 1992 and a married couple teaching woodwork and English from 1990 - 1993.I was that maths teacher and it was a very happy three years that I spent there!
