Up until the 1970s this area was called Greenwoods Corner until some Real Estate people realised that calling it Epsom South raised house prices. An interesting example of how place names change in the face of "Offical" practice and designation. Nobody in Central or Local Government ever made a decision about this name but it is now apparently accepted by everyone [including officals} as not only the real name of this area but the only name it ever had.
