The collection of approximately 4000 items and 35 buildings in Riihipiha shows what life was like for ealier generations in Vuolijoki and the Kainuu region. The buildings and items show the development of agriculture and the tools in housekeeping. In connection with Riihipiha there is also a village shop, bank museum and office, which tells of agriculture advisory work. Also there are sections that describe the activities of the Lotta Svärd and civil Guard organisations.
