Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge is located on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. Blackwater was established in 1933 as a refuge for migratory birds, and includes over 27,000 acres, composed mainly of rich tidal marshland.

The Visitor Center is off of Key Wallace Drive. Recreational activities include birding, biking, fishing, hiking, and hunting.
