The Royal College of Physicians of Ireland building was completed in 1864 to the design of William Murray.
The Royal College of Physicians of Ireland was established in 1654, as a fraternity of physicians who were granted a Royal Charter by Charles II in 1667. They moved their headquarters a short distance, to Frederick House at 19 Frederick Street, in 2012. They maintain their original building as a heritage centre and conference hall.
