The Houghton College Teacher Education Program (HCTEP), which is designed to equip teachers for transformative learning and service, is accredited by the Teacher Education Accreditation Council (TEAC) for a period of 5 years, from 2005 to 2010 (extended through May 2011). This accreditation certifies that The Houghton College Teacher Education Program has provided evidence that it adheres to TEAC's quality principles. TEAC is recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).
