It's a small Hamlet on the way to Haidernagar, Binjoki and Guara.
The majority of inhabitants are vegetable farmers. There are two schools, one Anganwadi, two Mosques in Abbaspura. The farmers are early adopters of the agriculture related new techniques. One example of that is one alumnus (Agri-graduate ) of Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana initiated Polly house cultivation of cucurbits and capsicum in 2002 which is now most successful method practiced in the region around the Malerkotla to grow these crops in off-season. That guy has working experience with top MNCs in agriculture like Isagro, Monsanto, deVGen and Sumitomo which is advantageous for the local farmers.
