The creation of Port-Say In July 1900

The vast plain of Triffa, situated between the rivers KISS and MOULOUYA, the Sea to the north and BERKANE and MARTIN-PREY of Kiss, attracted many french settlers.

One of them created, a few hundred meters from the Moroccan border, a port and a whole city.

Louis, Jean-Baptiste SAY, lieutenant Reserve chose this shore and the marshy plain that the jouxtait to settle.

He built a hut covered in diss on the shore and explored the back country. He also established a special relationship with the neighboring tribes.
