  • Dear Service Manager, I have purchased Caprice Table and 5 Chairs at the Glen Shopping center on the 14/01/122 paid for everything in full. I have asked for the chairs to be protected or Scotchguarded paid extra the extra fee requered. On the 17/01/2012 i got the sms to collect the goods on Saturday coz they are ready , unfortunately it has fallen far short of my expectations when we arrived to collect the good they where not Scotchguarded nor where the chairs in good shape like the ones at a show house (The Glen). I have reported the matter to the mananger ( Khaya) at the glen and wanted to cancel the order but i was promised a better service the second time to no- avial, when they finaly delivered the order 0n the 30/01/2012 my chairs are still not Scotchguarded the table is broken and the glass has a dent on. I am appalled at the substandard quality of the product and the service at large, and should I be forced I will be returning the product. I will expect a full refund at. I hope that I will not be forced to report this incident to the Better Business Bureau and state and federal consumer agencies, as well as popular consumer advocacy nor the newspapers. Sincerely,
  • On Monday January 30 2012 I submitted a comment here, also forwarded the email I have sent out on December 12 2011 (to numerous other relevant addresses)to info @ coricraft.co.za and thus far I have had no response. I would like for my complaint to be resolved as one invest so much in quality furniture only to get saddled with furniture that is less than the best. Regards
  • Why is there a comment box if no one care to reply on your comment? After numerous complaints I received a phone call from Coricraft Polokwane where I purchased my furniture. A promise was made that on the 7th of February 2012 someone will come out to see to my complaint. Needless to say no one showed up. From my side I sent 2 mails inquiring as to when I can expect a call. I am still awaiting reply. Wow, now that is customer care for you. No after service at all!
  • Coricraft service is very disappointing, I have purchased a dining table and paid full amount including delivery in Bloemfontein, I received a call that my table is ready and that it will be delivered on 21/02/2012. When I make follow up on my delivery I was told the legs of the table were not delivered, so I have to wait another week for my table. Poor service.
  • I am so disgusted with the service delivery with Coricraft!!!! We shop often at your different stores in Durban and have spent allot of money. We purchased a Twisted Leg Table on the 21 December 2011. Yes please note date as it is now MARCH! I have been sent about 30 sms messages to say Coricraft is in the process of nearing completion of delivery. I got a call from your Sales Lady Chantel Elkington at your Umlanga branch to say table arrived about two weeks ago. I told her i was fed up with waiting for the table. And she asked me what i wanted and i said to have it delivered to my home in Durban North. She said she cannot fit it into her car and gave me a list of problems. Then got a call on Thursday last week and the same lady Chantel called again. She said that she had arranged for the table to be delivered on Friday the 9th March 2012 to my home. Today is Tuesday no call and no table. Is this the way your company conducts service delivery? What a huge disappointment to think the money we have spent at your stores!!!   • I received an sms this morning, for advice of delivery this morning i.e 2012.04.02. I called the store to move the date to tomorrow even though a Monday delivery was not confirmed.The gentlmen (Reynard) on the phone was rude, unwilling to hear the customer view and the level of arrogance was obscene to say the least !!!! The shareholders should be ashamed of themselves, for poor service and willful public damage to the brand. No more purchases from Coricraft. Bakos Brothers...here I come !!!!!!!!
  • Terrible service!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Lie after lie after lie! Don't know how Coricraft is still in business! They've got tons of bad reviews, millions of complaints and not even mentioning their facebook page! Never believe Coricraft when they say your couches will take 4-6 weeks, it's a lie, what they actually mean is 8-10 weeks (if you are lucky that is)!
  • After various complaints about my couch that is broken, I still have not received feedback. When will I get an answer as to what is Coricraft's plan of action is. The frame has a 10 warranty. I received my couch in April/May. Not even 6 months old!
  • I purchased a lounge suite from Coricraft just over a year ago in Botswana. I went into to see them with a complaint and they lodged a complaint i.e. no 44794 about one month ago. The form filled stated that coricraft to supply corifill for 2 & 3 seater Div Santorini. Surely one month is long enough for a complaint to be fixed? I am sorely disappointed and will most certainly not buy from you again unless my lounge suite problem is remedied soon. I was told that Thursday last week it would be delivered and I still wait (with bated breath). Please please please, advise what I am to do from here?

Kruger Our original pleasant experience in buying from (Coricraft Galleria, Amanzimtoti ) what we regarded as quality furniture and sizeable order, took a turn for the worst when our 2 division leather decliner was eventually delivered this morning (2 June 2014) after a long manufacture period/wait since 26 April 2014. (In all fairness we were warned that delivery would only be in approx. 6 weeks and the remainder of the furniture were delivered in good order on 22 May 2014.) During calls the previous week to confirm the final delivery date, we were continually informed that the item is ready but presently been subjected to quality control inspection. This very professional sounding statement is the exact basis of our dismay when the decliner was delivered today made with very noticeable different shades of leather and covered in stains. If this is the standard of quality control your company is in deep trouble. I await your comments with interest .
  • I agree with everybody, complaints take forever, and never get sorted!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Cant get anybody to commit. Not even the regional managers, who say one thing and come back with incomplete info, 3 weeks later and then promise to call back and 3 weeks later an incompetent person calls back with YET AGAIN incomplete info.

  • I placed an order with Coricraft (SA - Zambezi) to be delivered in Windhoek in June, paid the complete quotation on 23 June for delivery 1 July 2015 - which did not happen. When my furniture was eventually delivered, the chest of draws was incorrect, one of the bedside pedestals had a hole in it. The dining room chairs (legs) do not touch the floor (wobbly) - and since then the one bed has broken !! I have been trying to sort this out for weeks, and I am still having no luck. The Shop Manager (Monica) The Grove Windhoek, is basically not returning my calls. I have expressed that I am exceptionally unhappy with Coricraft service, as well as the quality of their products (which are made in Vietnam !!!) Today is the 27 July 2015 - STILL NOT SORTED - Coricraft service is a disgrace, once my order is sorted - I WILL definitely not EVER be buying from them again !!! Sharon Brittz
  • I ordered furniture from Coricraft in Whk and had to pay before delivery - this took more than a month, when it finally arrived part of the order was incorrect. The furniture was returned with the promise that I would be refunded within 3 days. Well, well, well, needless to say, still waiting. I submitted the refund form on the 21st of Aug already! Shall I get the police to escort me to the shop and pick out N$41 000.00 worh of furniture? Is this the only way I will get my money back?   • I'm not surprised with the amount of complaints and complaint forums I've seen online re Coricraft and the terrible service. I placed an order at the end of Sept 2015 and it confirmed on the invoice that the order would be ready 27 Oct 15. I didn't hear a thing so I decided to send them an email 29 Oct. I received a message back on 30 Oct asking me to phone the contact person which I did. She then confirmed that they completely forgot to place half of the order!!! It is now 3 Nov and they still cannot confirm when the full order will be ready but keep on reminding me that I need to pay the balance before delivery. Coricraft need to take responsibility for this mistake and push the order ahead, confirm when this order will be ready to deliver and deliver at no charge. I will never us Coricraft again!
  • i have now for the second time purchase good from your greenstone store, 1st time was a couch which i was messed around and wasted my time for 3 days due to incompetence, now i have purchased bed side tables, one was damages after un rapping notified the store they arranged it to be swapped (now yet again wasting my time due to your incompetence) . but wow guess what the replacement unit was damaged, i emailed the store again and still haven't heard a word from Coricraft, it is now Tuesday and still nothing. the level of service is shocking to say the least. i am now done wasting my time and money at your stores!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • Please refer to my complaint on your website to your help desk this morning -WINDHOEK NAMIBIA branch is UNPROFESSIONAL and I'm not the only person in town that is complaining ! Please supply me with the remaining furniture i paid for already in November last year and correct the amount due as there is now a dispute between handling fees, delivery and discounts !!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Wow, I too feel that I do not want to deal with Coricraft now. I sent an e-mail to the Sandton branch this morning to please change my quote which I need to present to my boss tomorrow. No reply. I now phoned and Valencia had a long conversation with her colleagues while I was calling down the phone to get her attention. Without returning to me, she put the phone down.
  • Yhooo I will never spend my money in coricraft never in my life. I bought couches at coricraft after some time the couches had problems with stiches and studs. I went to the shop in East London to complain about that, it was last year Dec but up until now the couches have not yet been fixed. Each and everytime I go to the shop they just sending me from pillar to post even the manager does not even care about that. The worse part they did now they went to my place to collect the couches but when they returning it back they did not assembly it correctly it looks like disabled now and I have been asking them to go and assembly it correctly up until now nothing has happened. The other day I went to the shop I coild not talk I cried think about my money that I have paid for these couches. I AM DONE WITH CORI CRAFT NOW NOT EVER AGAIN SPEND MY MONEY THERE.

  • Coricraft your incompetence is mind blowing!!! The worst experience with your westrand staff, they have no clue what they are doing. I wish I had read these complaints before buying anything from you. I will never set foot in your store again and will tell friends and family to stay away.
  • Gosh, you are right this is mind blowing! I dealt with the woodmead and Morningside branches and they are also clueless, not at all efficient, do not return calls. My occasional chair which I purchased has also come loose and I cannot get to speak to anyone at coricraft that is able to assist and provide a solution. They do not call back even from a sales side. They have no customer service at all! I am going to try and contact headoffice to see if they can resolve.
  • To all potential buyers of Coricraft furniture it may be worthwhile to read about our horrific experience buying from Coricraft and the pathetic after sales service received. Buying furniture from Coricraft one definitely has an idea of excellence, good quality products as well as after sales support….NONE which was given by Coricraft! We have bought 2 couches, plasma unit, sideboard, display unit, dining table and bench. The couches had to be returned 3 times due to poor workmanship and leather quality. All the frames became squeaky in a matter of a few days, the leather had non natural marks and cuts on and on places where they have removed studs they just left the leather as is with little holes. The bench had to be replaced twice as the first one was not level and the second one had a bump on the one corner. The display unit had to be returned twice due to a bump on the drawer caused by their delivery team and then a door which did not close properly. For the third delivery I specifically requested that all products are thoroughly checked before it’s even loaded for delivery. It was confirmed that they have personally checked it yet it got here in a poor condition – telling me their standards are definitely not that of a customers. When they returned to my house to replace furniture my front door and gate was butchered by their delivery team and we’ve had to put in a claim with them to get the door replaced and the gate fixed. We struggled weeks to get payment and feedback from them. At one point they also stopped answering my emails. At the second pick up one of the delivery guys broke one of my picture frames which he apparently didn’t see. I then commented on an ad they had on FB where they publically said they will get the situation with the payment and the poor furniture sorted. All of this could still have been acceptable to some level if a professional approach was taken by their management but this was unfortunately also not the case. I insisted on talking to top management and got hold of the Head of the after sales department in Johannesburg. This man was shocked to hear all that has gone wrong and promised to sort this out – just delegating to someone in Cape Town who then also didn’t bother to get back to me and again I had to revert to him as he didn’t follow up nor returned any of my messages. Coricraft agreed to take back all their furniture and only refund me after a pickup was made. None of this was due to any fault of our own yet we are now without furniture for 4 weeks as we had to order from a new supplier. They also offered a R4000 voucher as compensation for inconvenience caused but now say this is unfortunately no longer available as I have taken my order to another supplier. After talking to various friends and family I have come to know that I wasn’t the only person who had this type of negative experience with Coricraft and many of them said they will NEVER buy from Coricraft again. One even had to return his table to get fumigated as it was invested with some type of bug. Talking to the delivery guys they admitted this happened a few times before where furniture had to be taken back to get fumigated. So unless you think you want to take a chance on poor products, poor after service and a store going back on their word – rather opt for a different store where they value the customer and strive to deliver excellent products and service. It is after all your hard earned money you are spending!
  • Coricraft have simply ignored my phone calls and emails regarding a damaged leather couch that was delivered to my home. This is after they could not find my order on the system when I went into pay the balance (in response to an SMS from Coricraft) and charging me R1500 more than advertised for the same leather as the display unit.
  • I am so frustrated with the service. I was in JHB last week end, I saw a lounge suite that I wanted to buy. The lady at mall of the south couldn't assist with the transportation costs and promised to call me on Monday the 12th.Needless to say I never received that call,I then called in on Wednesday she was on lunch at the time, I left a message again,she didn't call me back. I phoned again on Thursday and got hold of the manager who promised that she will call me.So after a 2 hour wait she finally called by then I was so frustrated that I completely cancelled the transaction. I then tried the Bloemfontein branch and explained my experience with the other branch, this lady asked me to email the details and promised to get back to me.Needles to say I had to follow up after a day to find out whether she has received my emails of which she did but explained that she couldn't open the attachment. She promised to call me back, so here I am still waiting after 2 hours. Makes me think how much more I will struggle to get the delivery. To say the least your service is pathetic, please invest in training for front line staff.
