    A disaster ready to happen. People make a lot of money cramping so many houses in such a small space without room to breath or have a view. social coherence is minimal. Even "de jordaan" is not so crowded now. maybe it was in the 1800's.

    No, it's nothing like that anymore with modern plumbing, sewage, ventilation and safety standards, construction...higher densities is what cities require to be sustainable. Not sprawl.
