  Syeds from East India (Sadhora, Dist Ambala) migrated to Akalgrah (now Alipur Chatta) in 1947. Syed Alamdar Hussain got this place in claim as his residence. He devoted a large portion of the place for establishing a Shia Mosque & Imam Bargha. He along with his fellow Syeds, most prominently; Syed Zulafqar Hussain Zaidi laid the foundation of Anjuman-e-Sadat-e-Sadhora and that is how IMAM BARGHA SADDAT started functioning from Ali Pur Chatta. Since its inception, Shia community has very successfully maintained their pre-partition traditions of holy month of Muharram. Yearly Majalis / Milad (gents & ladies) on the deaths and birthdays of all the Massooms along with famous yearly Tazia procession of 9th Muharram and Zulzana processions on 10th Muharram are regular feature. Saddat-e-Sadhora who migrated to other cities from Alipur Chatta make all the effort to attend these processions. The mosque is run by the Anjuman with the help of a devoted Pashe Imam, who is responsible to lead all the prayers. These establishments are funded through collection of yearly chanda by all members of the Anjuman. Substantial contribution of funds is also made by the members settled in foreign countries. Also other Shia families of Alipur Chatta generously donate regular funds for the maintenance and up-grade of the establishments. Just few years back complete renovation of Imam Bargha & the Mosque was completed with the help of funding from the foreign settlers and the local habitants. Presently, Syed Zawwar Hussain Zaidi is the president of Anjuman.

  I am also from proud SYED family. It was extremely disturbing and heartbreaking that once deliberately tried to ignore the most important personality of Alipur Chattta and tried to give all the credit to Syed Zulfiqar Hussain to start the Imam Bargha of Alipur chatta and the Azadari. It is a absolute lie and totally a deceiving statement that he started the Imam Bargah of Alipur Chatta. He of course played his part and no doubt the important one as well but this all was started by one and only SYED ALAMDAR HUSSAIN. He donated his land for this place of worship. He is also berried there. Once should not hide or twist the facts to promote his father or his family. How could some one also forget Syed Ali Naqi (Nishat Wasti) I would like to say it once more and very loudly too that Imam Bargh was started with the devotion of Syed Alamdar Hussain. Some more important personalities to help Syed Alamdar Hussain (famous as Daroghawala) were very respected late father of Hakim Syed Khizar & his brother Essa. Late father of one of the most active member now a day Syed Mustajab Hussain should also be always remembered. May Allah rest them all in peace.
