This house dates back to The Domesday Book

Sharp-eyed movie bores will recognise the house, and nearby church and water mill (indeed, much of the estate!), from the 1976 film The Eagle Has Landed - as well as several other films and tv shows

It is also another possible location for the fictional Toad Hall, of Wind In The Willows fame.
