  • This railway station was built by the turks during the Uthmniyah (Ottoman) times. The track used to go through Syria to Turkey. Old engines and carriages were still seen and left in their untouched state for over 60 years till the Saudis made it into a park. What a loss of piece of history. I often used to pass this station when I used to live and work in Yanbu (approx 230km from Madinah in late 90's early 2000s. They could have made it into a museum etc. Khalid, Burton on Trent, U.K.
  • It is all linked with explosions of trains made by the anglo-jewish terrorist Lautrence some 100 years ago.
