  • One can see easily from the map how Senera Pahar exetended in the east to Kala Pathar and Muradi Pahar. In the west it goes beyond Salkanali jore almost to Natun Di. These hills are distinct from the basalt hills that one can see in Senera in Kup pahari, Lej pahari, Ghasera and many other small hills. One generation before me, Senera Hill used to harbour many animals including tigers. People going to fetch water from Dolur Bandh had seen tigers at the road side. When I was a little boy I had seen the Santhals hunting for small animals in Senera Hill. Right after Indian independence Senera Hill lost most of the vegetation it had, because no body really looked after the forest at that time. Rather, people just cut down the trees and destroyed the forest.
