Jätkäsaari is the City of Helsinki Kamppi Malmin base, and Western districts of the sub-region.

There are currently tavararasatama (container port), and Tallinn's passenger traffic to port (west terminal, Jätkäsaaren Laituri).
Jätkäsaaren port half is known as Western.
Dude the island is to build a new, 15 000 inhabitants, housing development.
