The Arena was opened in October 2001.
In January 2008,a mini Basketball Centre attached to the main arena was opened.
The Arena hosts The Maid Marian League every Wednesday,for clubs from Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire.
The local male league,The Sherwood League,play its Junior Divisions at the Arena every Friday.
