Centrally located in the small village. The church is a historic east and a subsequent expansion in Gothic Revival style tower, and two west bays and a sacristy. Remarkable in 'Zerkegem' is that all the streets in the southern half of the town radiating away from the church. Wide, approximately rectangular churchyard around the church, surrounded by a low brick wall.
