An ancient temple of Lord Shiva. There are many legends associated with this temple. According to a famous one, when the Pandavas came here during their exile, Kunti expressed her wish to visit the Holy Cave in Amarnath. As she was tired, Bhima went to the Holy Cave and brought the Lingam at this site. After that the Ice Lingam was formed at the original site and the real Lingam stayed here.

  • Besides the Janmashtami there happens a very strong congregation here on the day of Raksha Bandhan. I have worked in the nearby Mandi dispensary in 1984 as attached medical officer. Now I am a Professor of Cardiac Surgery but I still miss visiting this place.
