Radio-Canada (Société Radio-Canada or SRC) is a French-Canadian public radio and television network created in 1936 simultaneously with its English-language counterpart, the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC). CBC's head office is in Ottawa, but most of the activities of Radio-Canada are based in Montreal. The center of activity of the English CBC is in Toronto.

SRC/CBC was established in 1936 to protect Canada from the influence of American culture. As many Canadians began to buy radios, they easily picked up American broadcasts. Today, the SRC's main audience is composed of francophones, while the CBC's audience is mainly anglophone.

Operating out of these facilities, in addition to the main Radio-Canada network, are le Réseau de l'Information, CBF-FM, CBFX-FM, CBME-FM, CBM-FM, CBFT, CBMT, and Radio Canada International.
