Opened in 1989, the UConn Alumni Center is a showpiece facility on a campus that is now home to some of the most magnificent buildings in the northeast. Built at a cost of $2.2 million—funded completely by the UConn Alumni Association—the 12,000 square foot Alumni House is a highlight of our new, 25,000 square foot Alumni Center.
Dedicated on Homecoming Day 2001, the Alumni Center is a great source of pride for the University and its 155,000 alumni. The $3.7 million project includes a complete renovation of the Alumni House, the creation of an Alumni Hall of Excellence, a newly developed Sports Museum, and state-of-the-art alumni staff offices. An Alumni Library and Resource Room provides the perfect resting spot for visitors to the Center.
