A sumdo in the Tebetan language is an area or a point where three rivers, ranges , or even routes meet. it is a term widely used in Tibetan language and in Ladakh .At this point here in the northern slope of the one bifurcation of the karakorums many stream combine to form the origin of the Qara Qash River.
