  • The main population consists of the descendents of freed slaves from Jamaica, and more often, the Cayman Islands. See, for example, "Historical Geography of the Bay Islands, Honduras", William V. Davidson, 1979, Southern University Press, Birmingham, Alabama. The people are friendly, and the food is great.
