Tirhut Main Canal passes through the middle of village. The water supply is from the Gandak River at Balmikinager, the northern most part of the district West Champaran, bordering Nepal. So all the land in the village is irrigated through properly designed distributaries. Moreover the water table in village is about 6-8 metres only. So, even remote places, where canal distributaries are not available, irrigation is done by bore-well at a very low cost.
