More than 30 rice varieties developed by this station notable among these include PR 106,PR111, PR 114, PR 116 and PR 118. The recent ones include PAU 201, PR 120 and Punjab Basmati 2. The cultivation of these varieties resulted in four fold increase in rice productivity in the Punjab state.
