One of first railway station operated in Indonesia, as main railway station from 10 August 1867 until Tawang railway station opened in 1914 and abandoned since Japanese occupation (1). Following closure, the railway station transformed into number of individual houses and part of building remains. The original form of this building is "U" until NIS's plans to expand the railways into Tawang NIS Station which built in 1914's. and administration office of this station to be demolished (western-central building) and the railways build next to the Tawang. Administration Office moved to Lawang Sewu ( NIS hoofdkwartier) nears Tugu Muda in 1907.

Locals called the station as Tambaksari. (2)
