Publisher's Pond (West Linn, Oregon)

This human made pond is owned by the Blue Heron Paper Mill, which is across the river in Oregon City. I'm not sure how they use it, but I think they might be filtering effluents from the mill, which could be a good thing. It has large fountains in the middle that spray water into the pond. I know that some days it is topped with a brownish foam with a sulfur-ish smell that blows down the side of the hill and across 4th street in the wind. But most days you can't smell it at all.
