Khomein (Persian خمین) is a city in central Iran, located in Markazi province, about 160 km from Qom and 350 km from Tehran.

Khomein is located to the south of the province, in a fertile plain. The climate of Khomein is a moderate mountainous inclining to a semi-desert one. Winters are cold and summers are moderate. This town was called the center of Kamareh 200 years ago. Recently, this town has become famous because it is the birthplace of the leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ruhollah Khomeini.

    I am from Khomien. I was born there and went to Dadgar elementary school and then to madrese rahnamaie Ahley Shirazi. all my family still live in my TOWN.Had a lot of fun there and I will live there if I go back.
