The Church of St. John was built in the end of the 13th century. It is oblong in shape, and the tower and the wings have been added later. The church was destroyed by fire in 1678 and 1921. The altarpiece is a triptych, and it was placed in the middle of the 15th century, and the upper part was added in 1662. The wall paintings date back to the 14th century, and the organ is from 1860. Sund Church is the biggest church in Aland.
