The city of Salamanca is home to the largest Oil Refinery of Mexico and Latin America, "Refineria Antonio M. Amor". Other good things to see there is the beutiful Gothic Ex-Convent of San Agustin. And the other precious colonial church buildings. This city was declared a town 450 years ago. Crafted decorated candles are one of the local handmade crafts. It's name was initially "Xidoo" but was changed after the spanish presence.

    I have been here many times before!!! I love the food; my family lives around this area and I just love going. I feel free and happy everytime I go. I always have new experiences, it's the bomb.:)
