Gräddö-Asken

Gräddö-Asken is a small island located in the northern parts of the Norrtälje archipelago. Since there are many "Asken" its name refers to Gräddö which is the closes village on the mainland (and which' can be translated roughly as, Cream Island) and Asken can be translated as "The Ash" (ash as in the tree Fraxinus excelsior).
Adjetant to Asken there are allso the thre Asken-islets.
The main island and thre of the islets is inhabited, and electified. there are not public ferry routes to the mainland, but the distance to Gräddö harbor is quite small and eaven a rowboat can make that distance in about 10-15 minutes.
