Jubilee Centre belongs to the Apostolic Faith Mission of South Africa, a Pentecostal denomination. It was founded by Rev James Tyobeka who was ordained in 1923. The current hall was opened for use on 10 December 1960. Members used to wear blue, white and black uniform familiar among the Zionist-Apostolic groups in South Africa.
