Contepec is a sanctuary of the Monarch butterfly, it´s the place where Homero Aridjis a famous contemporary Mexican poet was born. Contepec is a beautiful place only three hours away from México city, 2 hours from Toluca 2 hours from Morelia and Two hours from Queretaro.
