Monuriki is an island in the Pacific Ocean, in a group of islands known as the Mamanuca Islands.

The island was used as a filming location for scenes of the American movie "Castaway" starring Tom Hanks.

  • The island is actually called Modriki, an island in the Mamanuca Island Group of Fiji. We were there last week and it is a beautiful deserted island now used as a tourist stop and snorkeling spot.
