Viseisei is, according to tradition, Fiji's oldest settlement, having been established by Lutunasobasoba who is said to have led the first Melanesian migration to Fiji, landing at nearby Vuda Point.

Fiji's current President, Ratu Josefa Iloilo, hails from Viseisei.

  • Vuda point is not in province of Ba. Vuda point is in Lautoka. Western division. That's my birth place and i was raised at Vuda Point. My dad's house and farm is still there by Vuda Marina. My be they have changed now calling "Province of Ba". I like WikiMapia. Since i'm living in Canada,Province of Alberta.My son will be learning more about my homeland. But Vuda point in province of Ba? Thank you
