Seitseminen National Park

Finland / Pirkanmaa / Viljakkala /
nature conservation park / area  Add category

The most valuable part of Seitseminen is the virgin forest Multiharju that has not been touched since 1910. However, most of the forest in the national park has previously been in use, so there are plenty of opportunities to be acquainted with the history of forestry in the park area. Seitseminen is a noteworthy centre for environmental education. There is a Nature Centre in the park with changing exhibitions, and four nature trails of different lengths that tell the visitors more about the nature in the area. The park is well suited for walks, hiking and camping. There are over 60km of well-marked paths. There are six campsites, as well as four cabins that can be booked.
